Formula 1 has a new Constructors Champion, Mercedes Benz, finishing the reign established by Red Bull and now will focus on the driver´s championship which will go most likely to one of its drivers. It has surely been an impressive season for the german brand with some reliability issues that even came to a ridiculous form of a contaminant messing up Rosberg´s Singapore race. They also have dealt with the fight for supremacy amongst their drivers, but I guess that´s the way it goes when you have such competitiveness.

2nd place in the Constructors belongs to Red Bull with a difference of over 200 points while in 3rd lies Williams followed by Ferrari, McLaren, Force India, Toro Rosso, Lotus, Marussia, Sauber and Caterham. In the Drivers Championship, Hamilton Leads 17 points ahead of Rosberg, Ricciardo is third 75 points behind and 54 ahead of Bottas who is fighting with Vettel for 4th place with only 2 points separating them and 2 more to Alonso in 6th.

Jules Bianchi keeps recovering from the head injuries he suffered at Suzuka last week, Hamilton dedicated his win and asked people to send a positive vibe to his recovery. Marussia had only one car running at Sochi and unfortunately had to abandon the race due to technical difficulties. Next race is in 3 weeks in Austin at the USGP.

Marquez claimed his second MotoGP crown after finishing 2nd at the Japan Gran Prix today. As he said, the race didn´t really matter, the pressure was felt and the 21 year old responded to grab the title for Honda with 3 races still to go.

The race was won by a hard charging Lorenzo who somewhat lost his confidence during this season but seems to have regained it, he finished over a second clear of Marquez and 3 seconds from teammate Rossi. The Honda and Yamaha riders were really close in terms of performance over the weekend and the Yamahas got the better end finishing 1st and 3rd while the Hondas finished 2nd and forth with Pedrosa a couple of seconds behind Rossi. 5th place was for Dovizioso followed by Iannone, Bradhl, Espargaro, Smith and Bautista to complete the top 10.

In the Championship fight Rossi is now tied in the second place with Pedrosa (230 points each) and Lorenzo in 4th place with 227 points which will make it all out for that 2nd place in the next 3 races.
