The quiet rival, spaniard Dani Pedrosa, started from 5th on the grid to conquer Brno GP and round 11 of the MotoGP season with a flawless ride.  It was an impressive ride from the Honda rider even though all eyes where on Marc Marquez who lost from pole and fell all the way to 6th at the start and got enrolled in a feasty fight with Andrea Iannone from the Pramac Ducati team.  Fearce it was with both riders fighting to the point of touching each other more than once this all giving Marquez´s main rivals to gain an advantage to big to overcome.  But he didn´t only finally beat Iannone, he got enmerged in the fight for third with Yamaha´s Valentino Rossi who started 7th and managed to fend off the Honda rider to hold on to the third spot on the podium behind teammate Jorge Lorenzo.

It was a difficult race weekend for several riders, some had falls (Cal Crutchlow, Pol Espargaro and Michael Laverty), others had technical issues (Danilo Petrucci and Johnny Hernandez), they all were unable to finish the race.  Next round will be in two weeks time for the British GP, Marquez holds a 77 point lead and Pedrosa pulled away a few points from Rossi in the fight for the second place.
